In Colorado, we know protecting reproductive health care has always been about protecting freedom. But every week there’s another headline of MAGA Republicans across America trying to restrict reproductive health care more than they already have.
After Roe was overturned in 2022, we’ve seen red states and MAGA Republicans try to roll back rights to abortion care, in vitro, and even contraception.
Last week, I spoke on the Senate floor in support of our Right to IVF Act to make sure families – like mine – can access in vitro services to grow their families. Catch my remarks (featuring the cutest photo you’ve ever seen) HERE.
And the week prior, MAGA Republicans blocked our bill to guarantee access to contraception.
It’s unbelievable. In the aftermath of the Dobbs decision, Republicans jumped at the chance to control women and limit their autonomy over their own bodies. Since then, millions of women have suffered because they’re unable to access the health care they need. And in places like Colorado, where we’ve protected abortion care, health care providers are experiencing a big surge of patients, straining the system.
Women should have access to ALL the care they need. And we’ll keep fighting until they do.
