Last week we jumped into the car and traveled across Colorado to hear about issues people are facing in their communities and shared some of our recent accomplishments back in Washington. Here’s the skinny on the trip:
Another town hall! We hosted a town hall in Eagle to hear directly from Coloradans and discussed issues ranging from immigration and affordable housing to climate change. Coloradans know best how to tackle the issues impacting their communities. We joined county commissioners from all across the state to discuss how the $111 million in federal investments we helped to secure is already supporting our Colorado communities improve outdated infrastructure, housing availability, and workforce opportunities.
In Silverthorne, we met with local leaders and discussed wildfires, increased cost of living in mountain communities, and outdoor recreation.
To cap it off, we joined Colorado’s inaugural Outside Festival back in Denver! We spoke about the importance of outdoor recreation and highlighted the efforts we’re leading to preserve our natural landscapes and expand access to outdoor rec opportunities. Oh, and we jammed out to some pretty good music. ?
Now that we’re back in Washington, we’re rolling up our sleeves and getting to work after our travels. Until next time!
